The Autoimmune Protocol

The Autoimmune Protocol is a short-term protocol that is designed to help reduce inflammation by removing or reducing the consumption of foods that may increase inflammation of not only the gut but elsewhere in the body. The purpose of this protocol is to reduce the symptoms associated with autoimmune diseases like psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, Hashimoto’s disease, inflammatory bowel disease as well as many others. Common symptoms associated with these diseases include inflammation, fatigue, fever, pain, swelling, skin irregularities, and other symptoms.

Keep in mind that this protocol is highly restrictive and should be prescribed and monitored by a healthcare provider and may not work for everyone. It is especially important to consult a dietitian or other healthcare professional if there are other medical concerns or comorbidities.
